Designscope is doing a website and/or brochure for me and I need to supply text and images. How do I do this?
Text: You can provide your text in a Word document, unformatted, with carriage returns to indicate paragraphs. It is also fine to send your text in an email (unformatted). The reason we ask for unformatted text is because we use different programs for different purposes and if the text is formatted, we have to unformat it ourselves before using it.
Images: For web: you can supply the images as a hard copy or print to be scanned by us. If you have your images on your computer, you can send smaller sized images via email (up to 5meg) (info@designscope.biz) or burn them onto a CD and post (PO Box 113 Daylesford Vic 3460) or drop them into the studio. Images for web must be at least 72dpi.
For print: We can scan your images, or you can provide high resolution images to us on a disk or via email. Images for print need to be at least 300 dpi at full size in order for them to print properly (although we can accept very large images at 72dpi). If the resolution is less, the images will become pixilated when they are printed – even though they may look OK on the computer screen.
Please remember that you cannot make a small image into large resolution… the image will pixelate and look fuzzy!

Can I edit my own photos and crop them to the size I want?
You can download the free image editing program called FastStone Image Viewer to crop and resize images, as well as checking out the dpi, at Fast Stone
